About us

Julie's work, although primarily textile in construction, regularly draws upon the use of reclaimed materials and other craft techniques learned whilst growing up with a crafty mother and surrounded many local craftspeople. These influences together with unusual construction methods that combine traditional and modern processes create highly individual pieces that are rich in texture, colour, pattern and structure.

Julie attended the renowned East Berkshire College in Windsor and had gained the City & Guilds Certificate and Diploma in Stitched Textiles by the end of June 2007.

Winning the wearable art category at the National Quilt Championships in 2008 and 2009 boosted interest in Julie's work and in 2011 Julie embarked on an exciting year long recycled craft challenge called recycle4real, producing one recycled art / craft piece per week. Inspiring many others to join her on her journey, she produced 52 items using all manner of recycled 'rubbish'.

Julie is currently studying for a BAHons Degree in Textiles with the OCA and her current body of work concentrates on creating intricate structures using natural and found objects such as leaves, twigs and bark.
We sell a small selection of Julie's work through this site and also some useful and inspiring craft supplies and kits which we hope you will enjoy using.
